Adventures 2013

This year has a European flavour with a stay in a Villa in Portugal, driving tour of Brittany, home exchange in a farmhouse in Gascony and of course a return to the farmhouse in Derbyshire.

Parkes – Elvis Parade 8 January 2011

Our days were spent listening to Viva Las Vegas plus every other Elvis song you can imagine, sung by everyone from 5yrs – 95yrs! We loved sitting in the park under whatever shade we could find, enjoying the passing parade.

We had NO idea how big the parade was, Cadillac after Cadillac, Elvis & Pricilla one after the other, Brass bands, impersonators, guitarists, jokers, gospel singers and the rest! A happy crowd who suffered the intense heat with great humour. I must admit we headed back to our air con at the Farm stay for a couple of hours of respite!
