Just love the flowers, dragonflies, ladybirds......everywhere.........whole banks of them covering the mountain sides. Can't believe that lupins, michalemass daisies are indigenous to US and grow wildly everywhere!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic!!!

Crested Butte Music Festival

Got back to Gunni to find Summer had arrived. Wildflowers and festivals everywhere!!! We had booked tickets to three events...........Beer and Beethoven in the Barn. Fantastic. A totally wonderful evening as we listened to the Pastoral in a unique environment. Also at the Barn we heard "The infamous stringdusters" Yeah great fun...........more like jazz than bluegrass. Great night. Coming out as always there is a stunning mountain view. Phew! What a place!

Our final event was at a stunning mansion to hear 8 great singers sing excerpts from the Opera. An incredible setting, fabulous music and yummie wine and canopes.

Life is good!

An Aussie night in Grand Junction at a Mexican Restaurant. MMM You work it out!

Had a fantastic night in Grand Junction. Linda (far right) has done a couple of exchanges to Oz and is heading back again in December. Maggie, Jacke, and John have also done an exchange to Oz. They and Jodie on left are heading off to Oz at the end of July. Great to share mexican dinner (& margaritas) and chat about Oz. Love their enthusiasm.

Utah!

To hot, hot, Moab. How incredible. Swept along wide roads through stunning scenery... every corner a new sight. We came to "The hole in the road" a home enthusiastically built in the rocks over 30 years by a couple who just couldn't stop plugging in the dynamite, picking up the pickaxe and making yet another room."

Check out the pictures below - what do you reckon?

The guy also loved to stuff animals, and so when the donkey who had pulled out all of the rocks finally hit the dust he stuffed it and put it in the lounge room,
unfortunately he wasn't that great at it and it really wasn't a good look ! Its in the 3rd picture to the right.

So little time and so much to see. We will have to go back in the Autum
n. Would love to spend a couple of days walking there.
