I've always loved Stoney Middleton... I don't know whether it is because of the crazy story about lovers leap............................a young girl disappointed in love decides to end her life. She jumps from the cliff BUT because of her volumous skirts and petticoats is saved and lives happily ever after. I always have visions of a Mary Poppins type character floating down, minus umbrella!
