Coastrek Palm Beach to Coogee

100km of spectacular scenery! Decided to walk from Palm Beach to Coogee in stages. Not sure if we will finish before we leave next Wednesday but will give it our best shot. So far have walked from Barrenjoey to Rose Bay.

Day 1 – Barrenjoey to Avalon

Starting from Barrenjoey Beach, this 13km walk winds past craggy headlands and sweeping, sheltered beaches. Starting with the breathtaking views over Pittwater from the lighthouse. We headed to Palm Beach, past ‘Summer Bay Surf Club’ made famous by the hit TV series ‘Home and Away’. Then we walked over our first headland, to McKay Reserve, to Whale Beach.and onto Bangalley Head, the highest point on Sydney’s northern coast and finally to Avalon Beach.

Whoo Hoo... travelling again.. Feel sad to be leaving everyone in Oz in a couple of weeks BUT so looking forward to our next adventure. So different to last year. VERY European. Copenhagen for a week and then on to a cottage in Derbyshire. We are doing the Hadrian's Wall walk with Chris and Sue.... booked lots of music and drama ... Carmina Burana at the Albert Hall, the Proms, Opera at Buxton .... so very excited.

Can't wait to catch up with friends and their news..... new babies galore!!!!!!

Then off to Brussels and our home exchange in Bavaria for a month. Wow!

So it is a goodbye and hello message......(and I am resolved to actually keep up with my blog!)

Rydges on Swanston Street

Amazing internet special lured us to Melbourne ! First night the room throbbed to the sounds of a party two floors away! Apologetic management gave us a free night plus an upgrade to a brand new room... didn't tell us about the workers moving in! Great view and location though!

Stonington Jazz festival

Love Melbourne Jazz, but this was just crazy! Mind numbing, long rambling non melodic pretentious crap played by stunningly good musicians..........left after an hour with one of the WORST migranes I have EVER had!
