Great time with the students as we cooked Anzac biscuits for Australia Day. We will sell the "cookies" to support a local charity. learnt heaps of American terms as i tried to teach the kids. "Porridge" = "Oatmeal" Molasses was the closest that I got to golden syrup. etc etc. What a great day!

Cross country skiing

First time doing cross country. What an experience. There is a nordic trail starting right outside Roger's school and so that is where we are working on our skills (my snowplough leaves much to be desired). Hoping to do some of the Hartman Rocks trails soon.

Caleb and Claire now in Las Vegas. I am trying to get everything sorted before I start work and uni in 2 weeks. Our next visitors Chris, Sue and Kate also arrive in 2 weeks. It is all go i can tell you. Love getting your news and emails. Julie

Snow shoeing Whooo HOO!!

Discovered the joys of Snow shoeing. Loved it so much we have bought our own. Hartman rocks about 10 minutes from where we live has 30 miles of Nordic Trails which we have started to explore. We are So lucky to be in this place.

Now here is the sad news! Every Friday Roger takes all of Grade 6 up to Crested Butte Mountain and spends the day skiing! Crested Butte is just an amazing place. Blue, Blue, skies, dry crisp air and gorgeous mountains.

snow snow snow

Amazing days here.............wake up to sunrise over the mountains at the front of the house and watch the sun go down over the mountains at the back. The days (-12 usually) are really warm especially when we get into cross country and snow shoeing.

Caleb and Claire

These two just hit the snow!!!!! Monarch, Crested Butte and Cranor!!!!!.......This is building a run in the back garden!!!!

The trusty old truck crossing our bridge over the stream!! Thank goodness Doug and Kaylonn lent us this truck! Great for going into town and back.

Amazing views from every window

This bush is right next to the warm stream and is constantly changing - as the ice melts and refreezes or it gets covered in snow.

Farm yard where we see horses and cattle
